Canada's Savannah Sutherland is moving fast and breaking records

University of Michigan hurdler Savannah Sutherland of Borden, Saskatchewan wins the NCAA women’s title in the 400-metre event in 52.46 seconds at the outdoor track and field championships on June 14, 2025 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Savannah Sutherland owns several records in the women's 400-metre hurdles, but the 21-year-old track star from tiny Borden, Sask., hasn't forgotten where she came from, or how she got here.
