Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova eliminated in U.S. Open 2nd round

Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic returns a shot to Romania's Elena-Gabriela Ruse during the second round of the U.S. Open tennis tournament on Aug. 28, 2024, in New York.

Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova was knocked out of the U.S. Open in the second round on Wednesday, defeated by Elena-Gabriela Ruse 6-4, 7-5.
